“On the Day when you will see the believing men and the believing women- their Light running in front of them and to their right hands, (it will be said to them): “Good News for you this Day! In Surah Al-Hadid, Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta’ala discusses, the condition of the believers and the hypocrites on the day of Qiyamah. He consoles and comforts the believing men and the believing woman, by bestowing them with glad tidings of immense Noor (light/effulgence) whilst the hypocrites shall remain in total darkness and chastisement, separated from the believers.
The intensity of the light that each Mu’min will have, will depend on the amount of A’maal-e Saalihah (good deeds) he or she has done in this world. The more A’maal e Saalihah you do in this world, the more greater and stronger will be your light on the day of Qiyamah.

• Hazrat Abu Huraira Radhiyallahu anhu reports that Rasoolullah Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam said: “Whoever recites just a single verse of the Quraan, it will be light for him on the Day of Qiyaamah” (Ahmad)
