The Power Surge of the Heart and the Generator of Zikrullah

Experiencing ‘load shedding’, in our towns for just a few hours, leaves us restless, uneasy and uncomfortable.

Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala has blessed us with so many Ni’mats (Bounties) that we take things for granted. It is only when a Ni’mat is taken away or snatched away, then do we realise the Qadr and Qeemat (Appreciation and Value) of that bounty.

With the load shedding we experience; stores, banks, warehouses, factories, industries, institutions etc, have many problems. People become distressed…Infact, there are financial losses even, that many businesses suffer. Without electricity, the computers do not work … Man has become so Muhtaaj (Dependant) on “means” for his survival.

Imagine, if we experienced load shedding in the Universe! If Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala decided that the sun would not rise today … or the moon would not rise at night. We would face perpetual darkness! Nothing would function in this world. The plants wont grow, the crops won’t grow … there will be darkness … and if it continues in this way, the entire human race, all the animals and living creatures will die.

It is only through Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala’s kindness and Fadhl (Grace) that HE has not given us any power surge in this Universe!

Our spiritual heart too, at times, experiences load shedding, when it gets covered with Zulumaat (Darkness) of sins … Darkness of Zinna, Darkness of Haraam pleasures, darkness of vice and evil, darkness of anger, pride, jealousy and malice … which enters the heart and causes all the bulbs and lights of the spiritual heart that were shining, to suddenly switch off! The heart now experiences load shedding … Can we imagine the restlessness and turmoil a person in this condition experiences? One requires to switch on the Generator of the Heart.

What is the generator of a Mu’mins heart?

When one’s heart becomes totally dark due to committing sins, and has slipped and fallen prey to Nafs and Shaytaan … What should one do?

One must switch on “the Generator of Zikrullah! “ … By remembering Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala, one will be able to gain some Noor (Light) again. Make the Zikr of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala to generate the heart with Noor. The heart begins to be pumped with light again! … The person begins to feel good and at ease again. He then turns to Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala with Taubah and Istighfaar (seeking repentance and forgiveness). Ultimately, he begins to experience the love of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala entering into his heart …

Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala mentions in the Quraan :

وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُوا فَاحِشَةً أَوْ ظَلَمُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُوا اللَّهَ

And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins ~ Surah Aali Imraan 3:135

We have to therefore, generate this heart of ours with the Zikr of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala and bring in that light, otherwise our lives will be full of darkness …
